Dude didint you read i cant download anything from microsoft downloading sites -.-

When your grammar and general spelling can be outdone by grade schoolers, you can't really complain about people not understanding. I thought you meant the installer wanted you to download something, and you couldn't. This would mean you'd gotten the wrong installer.

I'm a little curious about what you mean when you say you can't download from MS' site - this file doesn't even need WGA validation. It can also probably be found on other sites.

Hey,

I have a similiar if not identical problem to him.

I beleive it is a virus, but after much research have not been able to come up with an adequate solution.

I am unable to access http://www.microsoft.com and other pages within the website, and or related to the website. I am also unable to access any anti virus websites such as, nortons website, avg's website and several others.

When installing MTA the first thing you need is Visual Studio redstribution package, I was unable to install it becuase I needed access to microsoft.com and it say'd unable to install Visual Studio, or soemthing along those lines.

Also when I boot into safe mode, I am able to install it and it will start trying to install it then while downloading it within the installer it will quit working becuase it cannot access the website. I also tried to follow robhol's link to the download in safemode and that would open up and i was able to download it there. But once again within the installer for Visual Studio it wouldnt download it from the website.

I couldnt find a install that was a full install, all the installers simply downloaded quickly then required you to download files once inside the installer.

Please help or provide a way to circumvent the website to install MTA.

Also this is a 100% geniune copy of windows. No counterfiting or pirating here.

Alright I have fixed it,

it was malware, and it was one hell of a aggravation if you ask me.

Every and any site related to virus and or microsoft was blocked, probably the most aggravting thing to deal with, this was preventing me from installing MTA. But now I have fixed it

If anyone else has the same issue go to

http://www.saftey.live.com

and check out the Conficker worm.

Good Luck,

Thanks for everyone's help. Gonna go play MTA finally!
