0 Gamesnert
It would be useful to say what you were doing at the time the crash occurred. Link to comment
0 NazcaC2
If I remember correctly, I was driving a car. I don't remember the details. It crashed by pausing for a second and then it went right to the desktop (no error). Link to comment
0 Scarface
There are many random crashes which unfortunately were not fixed for 1.0 Link to comment
0 NazcaC2
Oh ok. Are they difficult to diagnose to see what are causing them or do people just need to report .dmp files to you peeps with a hint at what we were doing when it happened? How are the dump file interpreted on MTA Team's end? Link to comment
0 Gamesnert
From the crash dump, they can see which line in the code resulted in an error. For instance a value is in a spot where it's not intended to be. Problem is, how did the value get there? So therefore, if you post dumps, it's a good idea to tell what happened at time of the crash, with as many details as possible. Which, of course, are not much since you can't expect when a crash is incoming. Link to comment
0 NazcaC2
I just got another crash while on the boat near the docks where you can go inside the ship (aircraft carrier) and I was by the crates on the lower level, near where the smaller boats can board. I was jumping a few times using the spacebar close to the smaller crates in order to try to grab hold and that's when it crashed. I was playing Deathmatch. http://avalanchemedia.ca/other/client_R ... 9_2340.dmp Link to comment

0 Phat Looser
Was there ever a test loading a big bunch of modified cars (with all possible mods) and driving them? I once had the impression that the overall amount of loaded objects is limited. Link to comment
0 Scarface
You mean the streamer? Well the streamer has it's own limit of handling objects in one area and in the whole map. After you reach this limit your FPS will start to drop. Link to comment
0 Phat Looser
The FPS will just drop? I thought the stuff the streamer loads has to be written somewhere into the memory. Link to comment
