Guest
I have an odd bug to report and maybe it's a server problem, I don't know. I'll be in the game for about 20 minutes or so and all the sudden my in game clock will advance at about 2x or 3x normal speed. Not only that, gameplay is sped up equally as well. I can easily outrun other players on foot, my cars go faster than everyone else, gunfire is rapid and it seems like my synchronization with other players to shoot them is way off. Important information: Operating system: Windows XP 64 bit Game version: 2nd edition with a 1.0 .exe file so I can play MTA Server I'm experiencing problems on: http://www.simbaddezeeman.nl Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ RAM: 2 GB Video card: EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Link to comment

Mr.Hankey
you need to download the coreoptimizer from amd's homepage Link to comment
Guest
Yes I downgraded my 2.0 version. There's a link on this site somewhere that tells you how. Anyway, I followed those instructions and that's what I did. Link to comment
Mr.Hankey
Have you tried using the core optimizer?! Im 90% sure thats the cause of your problem (Heard of it several times before) PS: Why is everyone ignoring my posts? Link to comment
Guest
Sorry, I wasn't ignoring you. I just thought I'd try it first and then reply to what you said. Unfortunately I can't get the optimizer program to run. Not sure why. Perhaps it's because I'm running XP 64 bit? I should also mention that this problem is not server related, but you probably already knew that. Link to comment
Scarface
Install all the latest drivers that can be installed for your pc, video card, processor... and so on Link to comment
Guest
Nevermind, it's working. It just runs in the background and everything runs at normal speed now. Thanks everyone! Link to comment
DazzaJay
Yeah i had this problem, i GAURENTEE you dont have the Dual Core Optimiser installed. Now, i KNOW it works for me because its running on this PC. and heres my CPU: AMD Athlon 4600+ AM2 Dual Core 64Bit. Download Link: http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content ... _1.1.4.zip Info: AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4 - The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC (Read Time Stamp Counter) instruction. Applications that rely on RDTSC do not benefit from the logic in the operating system to properly account for the affect of power management mechanisms on the rate at which a processor core's Time Stamp Counter (TSC) is incremented. The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer helps to correct the resulting video performance effects or other incorrect timing effects that these applications may experience on dual-core processor systems, by periodically adjusting the core time-stamp-counters, so that they are synchronized.
