Buffalo Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Function setVehicleEngineState(bikeid, false) used on bikes turns off its sound and lights, while you still can drive it.
Oni Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Although not so important, it's pity that it doesn't turn on/off animation of propellers in planes. The real bad thing is: looks like this function doesn't work for helicopters at all...
KillFrenzy Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 It doesn't work properly for any bikes or helicopters from my testing. All the other vehicles work fine. I think it's got to do with GTA, not MTA.

I think it's got to do with combination of both Maybe just helicopters and bikes hold engine states in slightly different memory addresses than other vehicles. So it's a question of finding and affecting these specific memory regions with this command. But of course it’s up to developers to decide.
Twig Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Diable their acceleration control along with the engine if you want to stop them, covers all bases.

"Your fuel ran out" - "Need a parachute!" - BAM. I think I like that feature.
