Guest
I wish downloading through steam was free. Thank you for your unhelpful post. I wonder what you were implying... Link to comment
CriticalXED
I'm sure u can. Steam doesn't make any effects for GTA: SA, coz it's not connected to steam anyway. Link to comment
Guest
Necronaught might actually be downloading GTA: San Andreas from Steam. Rockstar Games announced few days ago that Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas are now available via Valve's Steam client (a popular service used to digitally distribute games). Links: http://steampowered.com/v/index.php?publisher=rockstar Anyway, the Steam version is labeled as v3.0. It apparently contains few bugfixes and it hasn't got a CD/DVD check (naturally), but unfortunately there is no downgrader for it yet. The only way to get MTA working with it is to replace the "gta_sa.exe" with v1.0 exe file. Link to comment
Guest
hmm maybe it dont work becouse they must change some in the gtasa.exe to work with steam so you cant start the game without steam Link to comment
Guest
So I can't use the mod? Shame was looking forward to playing GTA multiplayer Link to comment
KillFrenzy
Because there is no v3.0 downgrader, you need to find a v1.0 (NOT v1.01) gta_sa.exe to play MTA. Your on your own in this one, since warez isn't allowed in this forum... Link to comment
skybon
I don't think MTA is able to work with Steam. All the main content except binaries of Steam but non-Source or non-Goldsrc games is inside ncf archives. Link to comment
