The Azer
Any chance of parachutes being added to a deathmatch release? Link to comment
lil Toady
Yes, you can expect parachutes in the first release.. Link to comment

eAi
No, we won't support parachutes in the initial release. It's fairly high up our todo list though. Parachutes are coded entirely using the SCM in GTA:SA, as we do not allow the SCM to be used at all, parachutes will not work in MTA. We intend to provide support for parachutes as soon as it is practical - hopefully in a suitably generic fashion that can be exploited by scripts to produce all sorts of other exciting things. lil Toady
yeah, i never said that you can expect native support, scripted ones are still possible Link to comment

Brophy
thats bad... You can do a ION cannon but theres no simple parachute Did you not read the above? parachutes are SCM, MTA does not use SCM, and you all want MTA to be released, so do you really want to wait for it to be implemented? Bearz
Somebody should code Parachute with Lua. Link to comment
norby89
Somebody should code Parachute with Lua. that is possible I don't think you'd be able to skydive though Link to comment
MrJax
You can make a nice (and sync'd) parachute script already.. You can attach a parachute and change the speed that the player, vehicle or object falls at, in many different ways. However, we havn't exported many special player-animation functions yet (as they aren't neccesary for a first release), so you won't be able to entirely replicate the script used in single player.
