paul527
funny you're calling me an idiot in the "The bad image of the MTA people"-Thread. And yeah, i can read. But i guess you dont really understand me, doesnt even matter, doesnt change a bit.P.S.: Idiot. A pot calling the kettle black. ^ Oh and looky here: because nothing seems actually to happen (except of some endless bugfixing at the mainpage).... then kevuwk replied: what else do you want doing other than bugs being fixed so that it will be stable for a release? Hey why didn't you respond to this question? Got out smarted? ^ Link to comment
Munch
He couldn't think of anything to say. And bug fixing is all people want them to do, the more bugs they fix the closer the release comes. If they carry on adding other things like game modes, then more bugs will appear and it'll be longer until the release. Link to comment

The mta people hasnt got the brains to realease MTA:DM and making gamemodes and realesing them in the future.. Actually if I were you, I would find out what goes on behind the scenes before making assumptions, Gamemodes are made by the QA team, not the Development Team so it doesnt slow down development, people also tend to think we have like 3 people in qa team when there is like 25+, so dont get crying OMG THEY ARE MAKING GAMEMODES AND NOT BUG TESTING... @ People thinking that SA : DM will be released. M4NHuNT
anywayz.. can we make our own gamemode? Link to comment
Brophy
of course you can, all the documentation will be provided when DM is released Link to comment
skybon
The topic is drown in the offtopic posts, looks like someone wants simply to speak about MTA:DM because there're no topics about that and someone does so because doesn't want to give the wind to the topic. The real topic theme is that forum users and moderators don't respect each other and this's true as I see, unfortunately. Maybe people (like me) are tired waiting for MTA, but this doesn't give people a right to blame each other for nothing! When someone asks MTA for beta test this doesn't mean he's ill, simply he wants to test MTA like thousands of other candidates-in-testers... Link to comment
mdm13
I really didn't think it was possible but now I really believe in 2008 (or later) for mta release. Perfectionism is blown out of proportion.(e.g. creating fade-in on spawn and fixing bugs for fade-in on spawn). The way I hear 'mta people' speak concerning dm release is miles away. Too bad, but we'll wait patiently. Just hope the mod doesn't get destroyed by perfectionism. Link to comment

I wrote that on purpose * And again if you didnt understand what i criticize, then read mdm13's post again, maybe you understand him better than me. regards, crack Link to comment

I believe that the MTA team should focus on the most serious bugs first before anything, and last time I checked, they are doing just that. I can bring up numerous posts by the MTA team that all conclude that they are trying to focus on the most serious bugs, and slow down (but not eliminate) feature implementation. ps: thanks cracky for stopping the flaming, and instead pointing out your ideas, makes everything better Link to comment
ShOtGuN
The only problem is that... There are minor bugs which cause the major bugs happen. And about this respect thing.. Well, there are a lof ot people in this forum who would help testing MTA: DM. BUT the team members have stated they DO NOT need any testers, because the QA team has already more than 20 members, which is enough. Then some noob comes here asking for being a tester, and if the team locks his/her topic, then the Team member who locked it becomes the bad guy. Link to comment

orappa
The team are focusing on the large bugs. The reason why they are fixing things like fades are because it's a 5 min job to do it and if you notice a problem and it's quick and easy to fix, why not fix it? It's not like it's going to make a difference to the release date. People read too much into the changelogs which is why we never offered them in the past. In summary, we don't need any more testers and the people in the original thread should have been nicer (although I can see their point as this same question has been asked every day for the past 4 years, nearly 5 now). We give testing rights to people that we know are trustworthy and are able to put the time in for regular testing. Paul and cracky: cool it or this thread will be locked. Link to comment
Ravenheart
Shouldn't they fix the large bugs and then POLISH the mod(fix small things) because by fixing the small bugs first and leaving the big ones for last can re-create the same small bug after you fix the big bug, leaving you no other option but to fix the small bug again? paul527
Paul and cracky: cool it or this thread will be locked. Why not just lock it now? This thread is just repeating the same old questions by the community and is getting the same old answers by the team. It's going nowhere. Yeah, we all tried to point out the fact that the team is focusing on the big bugs first, but as usual whenever anyone answers the community's questions, they don't listen anyways. They want us to say that the MTA team is doing nothing so they won't have to feel guilty about their impatience and bitching. Well they are making progress. Nobody can deny the change logs, the screenshots, the movies, the script tutorials, the feedback from the dev team and QA testers, the IRC discussions, and everything else that people fail to recognize when they go asking "Where's DM?".
