will ya be able to play as every single ped/character in gta sa ? , like, ryder, kendl, sweet, and even change their clothes , hehehe, go into Sub-Urban and buy ryder some purple colours

You can play as any character from single player, but you can only change CJ's clothes. The other characters have fixed clothing.

I don't know, but there is a distinction between randomly generated characters on the street and special characters in missions.

They're loaded differently, they can't be used yet, but could be added before release.

should be an easy this to do, just edit:

290, special01, generic, CIVMALE, STAT_STD_MISSION, man, 1FFF, 0, null, 9,9, PED_TYPE_SPC,0 ,0

and the other special characters, i'v seen it done many times as single player mods.

there's also room for extra peds:

there seems to be 10 slots empty for custom peds. but having more then 3-4 (around there) will crash game.
