I downloaded and loaded it onto my computer but when i click on the icon to start mta it starts to load then says i don't have the game in, which i do. I also have a second edition game but i don't know if this matters. please help

Guest Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 ok now i have a new problem. i fixed what was wrong with my game so i can play it normally now but it involved getting a new .exe file so when i try to use the patch from the link you gave me it says my .exe is an unknown version. is it possible to keep the new .exe file and play mta

Jani Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Do you have the GTASA DVD? If so, just install the game and then run the downgrade patch, it will work fine.

Ravenheart Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Maybe you have some version of GTA SA which the downgrader does not support(clickteam......), get the .exe from a friend who has the proper version for MTA.

Ravenheart Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Yes the downgrader will patch your version to v1, if you are using a no-cd(dvd?) crack then you would need to find the original .exe.

erorr404 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Ah right, Brophy did say that, Ravenheart didn't. Anyway follow his advice and tell us if it worked. Make a backup of your original gta-sa.exe before applying the patch though.
