MTA setup can't find San Andreas

kudos

Question

Just bought GTA SA The definitive edition off steam for MTA, but after trying to set it up MTA cant seem to locate SA despite me selecting the folder.

"Could not find GTA:SA installed at C:/Program Files (x86)\ Steam\steamapps\common\GTA San Andreas - The Definitive Edition"

Hi, welcome to the forums! 👋

Multi Theft Auto does not (and will probably never will) work with the Definitive Edition version of the game.
You will need the original (classic) edition in order to run MTA:SA properly.

You can check out our wiki article on this matter and find ways to grab a legitimate copy of this edition here: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Where_to_buy_GTASA
