ThatGuyWhoPlaysMTA
At 0:49, there's a waterfall. Now I know that the water shader was used, but how exactly was this waterfall made? 2 Link to comment
Administrators Tut Posted November 7, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 7, 2021 Hi, the waterfall was most likely created using custom models with embedded particle effects and a UV scroll shader for the waterfall effect itself. In the past I've used the above technique to create a flooded storm drain. 1 Link to comment
Nebla
You want to create a realistic waterfall? but you don't want to use custom models? Then add a smoke creator object in the end of the waterfall Link to comment
The_GTA
Since we have started talking about the creation of realistic waterfalls how about you add a 3D sound effect to it? I recommend you to look for free sounds effects on the internet, for example this one: Freesound - "Waterfall" by straget If you are using "free" sound effects on the internet then please follow the licensing terms. The above sound I have linked requires you to mention the author and/or the location of the sound in your MTA server. In general as long as the author is offering the sound on such "free community" online services - whose usage grant is only very seldomly revoked, but possible - your MTA server's usage rights cannot be revoked either.
