DARIOcaptain
Hello, I'm playing on my local server with custom low-poly models and I noticed that everytime I turn on the lights some car parts disappear, in some vehicles the steering wheel turns transparent, and In others the trunk from the other side is transparent. Is it because of the model or MTA causes this, I checked DFF file in Blender and when I change the render to Blender Game it also becomes transparent. Link to comment
Discord Moderators Megadreams Posted August 27, 2021 Discord Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2021 Well the part about Blender clearly suggests it's an issue with the model. Link to comment
Administrators Tut Posted August 28, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 28, 2021 When lights turn on, the GTA renderer culls backfaces of polygons - essentially making polygons draw only 1 side being the direction that the normal is facing. I believe this is an issue with both opaque and transparent materials, but it's usually not visible with GTA vehicles as they have fabric on the inside which covers the vehicle metallic surface from the inside. If you don't plan on doing this, something you could do is duplicate the metallic surface polygons and flip their normals. I don't recall if this works for transparent materials. 1 Link to comment
