Guest Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 For thoes who haven't played Midtown Madness 2, it's similar to what MTA:SA is right now, big city with cars(till we get some foot action). But it has simple yet quite fun Cops&Robbers game mode. It's two teams which spawn ramdonly throughout the city. There's two checkpoints, one for each team and gold brick pickup. The whole objective is to rush to pickup the gold and deliver it to your team's checkpoint. The twist is the other team can knock the gold off the other team's player. So whole battle breaks out for the gold that's when teamwork can really come to play which is great for clans wanting to compete. Once the gold gets delivered, the team gets a point and another set of checkpoints and gold brick appear. Fun keeps going till a time limit or point limit. I think such a game mode would be kick ass for MTA. Link to comment

Would the admin be able to choose the checkpoints or random locations to spawm the objects or what it become automatically within the mode to begin with. Adding barrels or other objects like traps into the map would give the gameplay experience perhaps something more fun aswell. The twist is the other team can knock the gold off the other team's player What would happen to the player, who is currently driving with the item, then crashes or dies (eg. explodes, drowns). Would the item return to the orginal respawn location which would mainly be the orginal idea, or perhaps the item would just be dropped next to the position of the players death etc. The mode would be something nice to play around with. It wouldnt be just about playing with the team, doing the usual tactics but also having laugh and smashing each other for the fun of the experience. Link to comment

I'm sure it would work well in MTA too, but there's lot's of other elements to consider if this is for DM, such as how the gold would be handled by players on foot.
