Hello,

Ok when i try to connect to a server it comes up and says "Your Running a Modified Version of MTA, please Reinstall" (something like that).

and i have read the info on:

Upon hitting Start Game the client informs you your CLIENT is modifed.

This is an error with the way we temporarily replace some of the games files. When you install take a back up of both weapon.dat and weapon.mta from the /gta?/data/ directory and put them somewhere safe. If you get this error close the client, REPLACE both files and retry.

i tried that, but i did under stand the part where it said make back up files of weapon.dat and weapon.mta. when i make back ups and delete the old files, and try to join a game it says you are missing weapon.dat and weapon.mta. i re-add the files and i still get the same problem.

dose anyone know whats wrong? i really want to try this online, and yes i do have Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Only Vice City. and i do have the 1.1 patch.

can some one help me please??

Thanks!

Greetings,

Sounds like this is your problem and your not fixing it properly.. uninstall mta, reinstall vc, install mta (cus it sounds like uve totally messed the files up :P)

Just put you MTA > Option on 1.1..

I think you've first installed MTA, instead of GTA.. Thats why you were missing some of the files in your GTA map

Uninstall MTA, uninstall VC, reinstall VC, reinstall MTA.

After that, try starting game on 1.0, and if it crashes, do it with 1.1, and It'll work fine. Because it sounds, as Jax said.. that you've really messed your files up. :|

Helps also to make sure that you should or at least play (recomended) VC in single player first, before installing a fresh installation. However some people have just played the mod just straight after a download and dont recieve any crashes etc.
