Guest Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 MTA waz working fine (both the server and client) til updated the server (ver.1.1) then i ran into a problem... the client keeps comming up with Protocol Error ( 8 ) on connection.. i uninstall both the client and server and reinstall them again... still nothing... just wondering what i could do!

I'm having the same problem here. I think a solution is to downgrade to server version 1.03 until the client has also had an update to 1.1 [edit] This works indeed. In my enthousiasm to try the new server I even missed the first line of the changelog you can find overhere You will not be able to play Race 1.1 till we release the client, tomorrow. So, be patient until the new version of the client is released....
useless1 Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 the way it sounds is... 1.0 server must use 1.0 client 1.1 server must use 1.1 client and so on... i think thats how they are making it work
