buy a ps2 or xbox (xbox 360 recommended, it's newer but not all games are supported :\ you can check a list of compatible games) and play SA on that console. there's a 2 player option in that game (bad R* removed it for the pc version)

2-Player isnt a very good experience neither, though it perhaps adds some sort of fun to the console players. However something can defaintly be improved on.

it's to the player itself to decide he likes co-op or not... it can be veary cool when you play with a friend together side by side.
