I personally have been working on various client side code, relating to getting in and out of vehicles, while ChrML has been working on spawning vehicles around the map so that they're ready for you to get into them! Oli meanwhile has been working on some clever stuff in the server that we'll reveal later on, when its finished. Not much to show screenshot-wise yet, we're just getting all the pieces ready - when we put them together we hope we'll have another fun 'blue' mod! We are very open to your suggestions for DM at this stage, please don't hesitate to use our forum to tell us how you think we should do it. Si|ent Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 As DM will ship with an extended version of the map editor you obviously don't need specific gameplay suggestions, these can be created by the users after release if need be. Features wise the biggest Must-have that I can suggest above and beyond the Deathmatch features already seen in previous MTA's is proper support for Team play. This would include: Freindly fire options Sectioned scoreboard with individiual team listings and scores Team and public text chat (the former only your team mates can see) Radar options: Team only appear, enemy only. Range options - how close you are when the blips appear/dissapear. Team specific goals in the editor - For example the flags (or briefcases or whatever) in a user-made capture the flag map would be team specific objects, one belongng to team one, the other to team two. The hill in a king of the hill mode however would be a universal pickup. (these could be assigned in the F3 menu, allowing users to 'flag' areas, objects, vehicles, anything that they wish) And that is pretty much all that would be required to open up a massive new set of game options, teamed with some of the suggested editor additions such as zones (exclusion or the opposite), hundreds of potential maps and game modes become possible. I can't emphasise more the requirement of friendly fire. This is something that 0.x has been lacking for along time now. This very basic feature introduces the ability to create any team game. bloodeye Posted February 7, 2006 Share Posted February 7, 2006 What about spawning? where will the game start? can the server host choose an area to spawn players? or will it be up to the players where they spawn, aka Map editer 'start from custom position' Ability to earn money (only limited amount) by successful car jackings, objects and kills then maybe be able to buy weapons from designated ammunations or even a counter strike style menu with points etc. I dont really know what you gus have planned but if you keep an 'Eye' on SA-MP to see what features they got you'll do fine not that you wont anyway..
