Hi to all!

First of all i wanted to say that im very happy about your great

work on MTA:SA!

But i have a problem with the Map Editor:

1. The map editor doesnt show objects when i add more!

After restarting MTA the objects

which were invisible before appear.

But after adding a few objects the mapeditor stops again

to show new added objects. Another solution i found is to

move the camera far away from the place i want to add the object

and to create the object there and then to move it to the place back

i want to add it... but this solution steals me a lot of time and doesnt

work everytime.

What i did else to found a solution:

After reading a topic here (i think it is called "object limit?")

i found out that there is an object limit of 250objects per 600x600 square

units!

My question is how i can see when i passed the 600x600 quare units?

And what is the length of one unit?

I also read that there is a command (dbg_pools 1) which shows u when

u reach the limit of objects but after using it following appears (in the area

where i can add more visible objects):

Entry Inf Nodes: 538/2300

Pointer node single links: 51610/70000

Pointer node double links: 2036/3200

So in my eyes i am totally between the limits...?

Another question by the way what does Entry Inf (or Info... dont know exactly) Nodes,Pointer node single links,Pointer node double links mean?

I would be very happy if anyone could help me!!

Thanks to all,

your KingCh@os

Sorry ;) i have another question:

Are there more "hidden" commands like dbg_pools 1??

This command u cant find anywhere in a Doku. i think??

If u type in Help in the Editor for example this command wont appear...

thanks to you all!

I think 600 units means 600 coordinates to one direction,

so its 600 coords to directions x,y = 360000 coords³..

You can see when you have passed it by moving the object 600 times in one direction by pressing the button 600 times  lol.. allso, you can just try..

ps. san andreas game are is 6000x, 6000y..

I'm not quite sure how big it is, but I did find out the measurements for the Haybreak object.

The Haybreak is 4*4*3 (width*length*depth)

If I don't remember wrong, you can see that the sea in SA is divided into squares. If it's that square size that you can see in the ocean, then 600x600 would be a very large area.

the squares you are talking about are probably the textures you see... and textures mostly are squares who get "recycled" all over the map. but there are big textures, medium, small etc. I dont think 600 square units are as big as you think... hopefully :)

That might be the case, yes. But from my experience this measure, 600x600, seems to be a rather large area anyway, how large I don't know.

I'm allso curious to know wich of the 3 lines given by dbg_pools represents the object limit? will be usefull to note when I have to stop wasting the limit with explosives :D

/me too

I allways try to enable as much parameters as possible in the screen... I like it :D cool there is a whole list of commands in jedi academy, wich I've most of them turned on, like chatbox replace co-ords, lag-o-meter, fps, etc.

I dont understand why the developpers cant help us with such an important question. It also would help the whole people who create maps with mta....

AND by the way... levian where did u find the lagometer commands etc? what is the jedi academy? plz report to us ;-)

Maybe a object meter (showing total amount of objects with-in the 600x600 area and how many objects left with-in the area) on the side of the screen will help mappers know the limits.
