High Ping on Broadband

My ping is always somewhere near 200ms. On on a broadband connection, so it should be ALOT lower. any help?

*Spyware

*Location of server

*Connection of server

*Server run on what OS

*Firewall (I think)

*Router (I think)

Router and firewall can affect ping because they can throttle the amount of data sent, firewall especially.

Play on a server which is hosted on a fast connection, and preferrably in the same country as you.
