Guest Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Hey I am getting Vice City for PC soon and I was woundering if it is easy to control in walk/run mode and in-vehicle mode for Keyboard and for those who use a joystick i would like to know the same thing. Plz dont lock this moderators cuz this is the only forum catagory that will fit this post.
erorr404 Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Who uses a joystick for anything other than flying? Keyboard + mouse of course.
{Static} Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Unless he means joypad but I don't have one so have to say keyboard.
zerb Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Using a keyboard for mta is very simple, you`ll get use to it anyway.
xGj Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 most 3th person games or any types of shooters where you can walk, arent meant to be played with yoystick. I bet there will be support for it, but trust me, it will suck Playing GTA/MTA with keyboard will be much easier to play.
zerb Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Its the " On Target, Auto Aim " i wouldnt like to see in future releases, killing would be alot more easier which wouldnt be much of a challenge.
xGj Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Its the " On Target, Auto Aim " i wouldnt like to see in future releases, killing would be alot more easier which wouldnt be much of a challenge. Yeh auto aiming would really suck. Thats why SA on ps2 and consoles is such easy
Vital Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 hey its good both ways i think when im flying i use joystick when i am dricing , running i use keyborad but its your choice any which way you want
Guest Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) EDIT: Is there a way I could change the controls to my likings? Edited December 7, 2005 by Guest
zerb Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Sounds like his trying to say Steer or something else
Guest Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 for the keyboard.. could I change the controls?
xGj Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 for the keyboard.. could I change the controls? Sure Press Esc > options > ( settings whatever ) keyboard settings ( or controls whatever ) > redefine controls > voila now you can change them the way you like
Mike Hunt Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Or you might want to try a combination of both.
xGj Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Or you might want to try a combination of both. Maybe its a good solution but... I never saw such an ugly keyboard
Jayster Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 (edited) Keyboard, at first I bought a joystick. But I couldn't get figure out how to use the buttons. So I quit. 20$ down in the dump. Edited December 21, 2005 by Guest
By-Stander Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Mouse and keyboard. Thats not just a keyboard, it's an old Micro from the 80's. Ahh memories
Jayster Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Or you might want to try a combination of both. Maybe its a good solution but... I never saw such an ugly keyboard lol. Agreed. The link is old-computers.com, that explains why it looks ugly.
Xanarki Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I'll agree with 404 here. Joystick is only good for flying simulators (jeez I haven't played 1 of those in awhile).
Guest Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 For those that don't exclusively play console games (and aren't aware of it). Mouse + keyboard control is by far more precise for all purpose gaming than either joypad/joystick. Unless in specfic circumstances. Such as a flight sim, etc.
paul527 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I use the Joypad for flying and driving but when I need to aim my gun, I'll use the mouse I didnt vote though
Jani Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Or you might want to try a combination of both. Maybe its a good solution but... I never saw such an ugly keyboard That's not a keyboard, it's a car accident.
