I don't but since i have had a problem for ages saying i am running a modified client, and it cant copy weapon.dat to weapon.mta

Plus everything they said to fix it didnt wokrk, i was thinkin of tryin 4.1, does anybody play it now? If they do can i hav a dl link please

Don't try to copy weapon.dat to weapon.mta, it are 2 different datafiles, although they look mostly the same. Try reinstalling GTA:VC or delete the MTA files manually ( not through the uninstaller ).

It has worked for a while now (0.5) i found out it was because i still had that thing implented from when mta client didnt work (check on main page)

?? uh which thing...

This thing

0.5 Server Browser (12/10/2005 @ 04:33 CET) by Blokker_1999

As some have noticed MTA′s in-clinet server browser is no longer functional. This is due to the fact that Yahoo! has taken the udpsoft.com website offline and removed all of it′s subdomains. Therefore the server browser can no longer locate ASE′s master server.

We do not know if we will release a new client for this small error but there is a workaround for it.

- Start notepad or any other text editor

- Open the file "%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" ,without the ". you need to be an administrator for this.

- add the following : 68.142.232.33 master.udpsoft.com

- save the file and close the editor

-edit-

We have been informed that the server browser works again without the change to the host file.

Weird, I applied that patch immediately when my ASE didnt work and I never put it back to its original state ( the host file ) and it still works perfectly but if it works for you than its good :P
