Other programs also running on your computer do raise the ping and connection speed.
Harry Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 This could be caused by a number of things: - you pc is too busy handling other progams. Try shutting down as much as possilble to heck it out. - You inet has some problems. contact you ISP about that - The server sux... try another one

erorr404 Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 it could be a wireless router. my ping fluctuates a lot on one, but stays constant when connected directly through to modem. but those are some huge extremes, so that's probably not it.
