That's more like a Windows issue i guess. Anyway, try this: 1. Locate 'mta.ini' file (usually its in C:\WINDOWS\ ) 2. Open it via notepad 3. Find line: [game-vc] location=(something) 4. Change it to: [game-vc] location=C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe or wherever you've installed gtavc. 5. Save file and check if it'll help

no idea tbh I still think it has somto do Try updating video drivers (and any drivers that can be updated), any possible Windows fixes... If that won't fix the problem, try checking if it will run without ANY background app. Oh.. and one note, MTA0.5 doesn't work properly (crashes/other issues) with xfire on

Just try deleting gta_vc.set (its in My Documents\GTA Vice City User Files) and running singleplayer vc.

Could you be more specific? Oh.. and if you really can't type 'a', please use Characters Map, like this (ctrl+c 'a'), because a text without 'a' is hardly readable

I'm also thinking that the next gta will be mmo-styled. About the location.. dunno Possibly London or Japan. This thread went a bit offtopic though

Ermm.. just select your GTAVC.exe there. You might have to choose correct version for it (1.0 or 1.1).

Click on 'Reset game paths' and after that point it to gta3.exe in your gta3 folder?
