I was thinking about that, that is hosted at walmart (albeit i.walmart.com). it could have been put up by a rogue walmart website admin, as its STILL THERE.

The fonts are insane. I've thought LONG and HARD about this. Now, I've just come up with a solution right while typing this... Because the extra letters with the odd characters are for different languages, and theres probably 26 anyway, we can use them to be the big letters. In gta3, the words in big such as "RAMPAGE" or whatever, they're the same font as the words at the bottom for the missions. Well, in GTA2, they're different fonts (the RAMPAGE and the mission texts). We can use those "extra characters" to store the A-Z of the caps letters, and the regular letters to be the mission text. So when you write a script, you'll probably be using crazy letters for the big text... but Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!

There are 11 radio stations in GTA2. There are 9 radio stations in GTA3. This would pose a problem, wouldn't it? We can change the names fine, but we believe that the audio file references are hardcoded into the exe. Thats a problem.

You couldn't get gta2 running? heres some help. Go to http://www.gta2.com, and click the time thats correct (todays date), and click PATCH. that'll let it work on xp. Happy "KILLING SPREE"!

hah! um to rival your quote consoles aren't lame! If you think so u r lame.......why? Most of the code for GTA3 is jsut ripped from the PS2 version. In fact they stil left the memory card codes......and another thing most games on PC are mostly non action (where the users needs fast reaction with there input or be able to perform complicated commands), with the exception of FPS, where as consoles leads the way on platformer style, fighting games and any other response intensive based games. Consoles uses a more responsive and intuitive form of inputs (they use a controller). PC's basically use the mouse and keyboard for fuctions (great for FPSes). Both are great but the consolers are actually the ones who tend to spend more money on their software. They are the ones who keep the industry alive. Yes they can pirate games also but it usually doesnt happen till the end of the consoles life not as oppose to the PC when the game first comes out. Actually, in order for them to use gamespy, they'd (I think) have to PAY GAMESPY! If you dont believe me, check http://www.gamespy.net , their site for developers. They have to sign up to get the code to be listed, and it costs $$$. All Seeing Eye, Here We Come!

You are correct about that dumbass prank. The avatar is saved as a link inside the post, not copied for each post. Say my image was http://www.blackstack.net/t2k2.jpg (which it is). It is an image link each time, not every time i post it is saved with the thread, say that this is thread 741, it would be like https://forum.multitheftauto.com/posts/741/t2k2.jpg, and if i post again it will be t2k2b.jpg or something. That would take up lots of space, not bandwidth. The "bandwidth" is each time a photo is viewed, which only happens 'when viewed', so if you make a post thats only seen by 5 people, the photo will only be seen 5 times, but you may post in more than one thread and all that, oh god, the math. I wish they had an exploading head avatar, but this is the best i can do.

You've heard of KaZaa right? A huge p2p network. It has the power of thousands of added broadband connections, several gigabits (maybe even a terrabit) of bandwidth is there. Now if this was p2p, or some equivalent, maybe 1 server supported 3 users, another supported 6, another only 2, but they would be the supernodes in a kazaa type network. And as I remember, FasTrac was selling the software they used to run the huge kazaa network. The next one is the group your in, and apparently its Moderator. To change your rank, go into user management, put in your name. The ranks available are at the bottom. If you want to make your own 'special' rank, go to Ranks, its at the very bottom of the frame to the left, and you can make your own. The no law enforcement used to just freeze your wanted level. It worked when it was at version 3.0, worked fine, so did fall through water (we had the 1.1 patch already) but when the trainer was 3.5, the fall through water and no cops things both didnt work. Also, the no cops can be used to freeze your stars at 6, if you like to run that is.

We need some help, like adding the radio stations correctly to gta3. Theres 11 stations in gta2 and 9 in gta3 (not including mp3player) We are able to change the station names in the gxt, thats no problem, and i noticed something odd, the value HEAD is associated with head radio. I'm thinking perhaps if I name FEA_FM1 (fm0 is head, i'm not changing it) to the name of the radio station, say its RockStar (cuz it is), and i name a value ROCK and give it the definition of RockStar, so that it when i tune to fm1, it'll say RockStar, find another thing that says RockStar and it'll see ROCK, and translate that to ROCK.wav. I'm not sure if it will work but thats just what i think. Any Ideas? GTA2 on 3 site P.S. We may have to omit a radio station.
