all you have to do is jump on those two black chairs in front of where you can jump out with a bike. Then jump up on top of the adjacent cubicle(I know they look like you would fall in, but they are pretty much solid cubes) Then you can jump to the next cubicle, from which you jump over the dividing glass wall, and, viola, you're in the secret/bug place... good luck doing anything though, I'm pretty sure you can't get out once you're in there...

I managed to get these three heavy vehicles on the airport roof... I tried the barracks but it wouldn't go for me (I'll have to keep trying)

I haven't seen any texture bugs (knock on wood), but there are a couple of AI bugs I've seen in my copy of VC. When I'm heading on the big road toward downtown, near the bike emporium, cars spawn backwards and turn themselves around. It's really weird...

Find Jasc Paintshop 7 or 8, it's as useful as Photoshop and easier to find for free. (It's also cheaper to buy if you are the kind of person who doesn't tolerate illegality). And The GIMP is great for the script-fu logos and a few filters, but its user interface is very complicated... Paintshop and Photoshop have a much better user interface.

...I've noticed this on every forum I've ever been in, as well as all around school, and anywhere I ever go. Barely anyone has good grammar. Indeed, most have extremely horrible grammar. It especially irritates me when people who know loads about computers have bad grammar.... it's like you would try to sound professional and expand your vocabulary a little bit... but anyway.... I just had to let that frustration out...

Vice City on the computer was worth it to me. I'm pretty sure you CAN'T download it. For one, it will be over a GB to download (look at a couple days with cable, a couple weeks with 56k) and noone has probably put it online yet anyway. I'd say just buy it, even if you have it for the ps2 and such, it is still worth it for the wealth of mods you can run it through on the computer.

Sorry I can't help you... but I just had to say your english is better than half of the americans who post on this forum....[/i]

I'm thinking about ditching my Xp and going back to Windows 2000, is that a good or bad idea?

The colors work just fine on my geforce4, though I don't know what they mean lol, can someone tell me?

Don't Miss our G4TV segment (09/10/2003 @ 00:11 CET) by MTA Team
BrianHodge86 replied to Blokker_1999's topic in News
well.... I wouldn't go to California cause you can get arrested for stealing a slice of pizza.... (three strikes rule) that's kinda messed up... lol but congrats on ARNOLD hehe... but yeah it would be cool if someone was to host the segment. I'd like to keep it. -
lol I actually had my friend come over to see the like 3 mins in which they mentioned MTA. At first I thought they wouldn't show the players move as not to pass on that there is no char animation... lol it was cool though, and ironic. I just started watching G4 a couple weeks ago, and started playing MTA a couple days ago, then right after I start playing it's on my favorite channel. Anyway, congratulations to the MTA team, I would be really proud of making on to G4TV.

Unforgivin:Blah and Ashes Next creation
BrianHodge86 replied to blah sr's topic in VC Screens & Movies
The video was great! Two thumbs up and I love the music. I would host it on my site if I had enough space... (I use cheap old geocities for my domain and it sucks ass if you pay less than $39.95 per month.) Anyway, loved it, I'm rating it as high as I can. -
this is to everyone who uses fraps. Did you pay for the software so you could save as long as you want, do you just use the demo, or did you find another way to use it without paying? I don't think $29.95 is a "small price to pay"... anyway, I want to hear your thoughts. *edit*really sorry this shouldn't be here, should have read the rules first... mods: move it if you want *

that was sweet! You did a great job syncronizing the music with stuff that happened in the replay.

Well someday there will be a massively-multiplayer game like Vice City that can have hundreds of players and thousands of pedestrians and heavy traffic and it will be seamless, but that won't happen for a while, and we certainly can't expect it from MTA.
-
That was one of my big let-downs when I started MTA. Pedestrians are one of the biggest part of GTA. It would probably be way too many models for everyone to see at one time online. (think of the thousands of things around the city that would have to be rather accuratly syncronized between 5-30 players at one time.) I hope it will come soon but I don't think it will....

I've got an old 486 w/o a hard drive for messing with basic programming, a 500mhz 2Gb computer for my Linux, and this one for regular computing. I have access to like fifty really old computers (tandy's, old IBM's, OLD Macs, etc.) But I have no real use for them...
-
I'm still waiting for a big break so I can improve my computer. *drools thinking about 4GB of DDR and a 2.6Ghz Athlon XP*
-
I partially understand.... I'm going to have to go read a book on processors before I start butchering my computer lol...
-
barely anything is affordable lately... If I were to buy the computer I wanted just the motherboard and processor would be like $380.... (although in light of the book he wrote up there I think I'm going to reconsider the value of my Duron....)
-
lol xenex, I've been reading the forums for like five minutes and I've seen you tell people to reconfigure their firewalls, routers, etc. at least four times.... Maybe you should make a sticky topic called "What to do if your game doesn't work right" lol
-
The default install path of Vice City PC version is C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City. The gta-vc.exe is in that folder unless you changed your install procedure in the beginning. Try looking in that directory.

I loved the look on my friend's face when I showed him MTA. He always thought he was cooler than me for having Vice City for the ps2, when I didn't have it at all. Then I got it for the computer and he kinda shrugged it off. But then when I showed him MTA, he totally flipped and got addicted to it lol. Now he's feverishly saving money to buy a computer that can support Vice City so he can get MTA.

I don't think that would work very well... you would actually have to add totally NEW vehicles to vice city rather than just changing the dff's and txd's of a model. Say you have a custom pcj 600 model. Every pcj 600 that spawns in the city on your game will be that custom model. Someone with a different model on their game will see the pcj diffrently. Without new vehicles, there would be no way to distinguish between one pcj and another. This would result in thousands of totally different vehicles that the game probably wouldn't be able to support. It would be great if Rockstar could integrate a new system for it, though. A lot of strategy games have an auto download for custom maps from other players. It could be similar with downloading custom vehicles, but it might need official reprogramming of the game.
