How much is this one could cost you ? +200€ than the first one but this one has more things, the only thing here is because the RAM and HDD, from 6 to 4GB and from SATA to Serial ATA would if affect much the performance? the RAM is about the "games" , so it supports you to get the best game performance, but you told that you run many of applications at the same time, the processor is the important part in this issue as much as you say, so you'd need to take a look at the processor first , what processor is much better than the other between them ?

It does not matter, a Dual Core and Quad Core is not the same. Dual Core w/ HT is good but maybe not very powerful for the amount of applications that I run. It is about the model too. You won't get better performance if it's totally cold, it only gives the maximum it can. Anyway, I'm going with the Core i5. That's better and good 4 u
