HAHA, its been what 4, 5 months since 0.1? and in all that time you didnt actually bother to read the readme or the manual or the sbs or the faq or the forums? Most peoples first reaction if something didnt work would be to read the instructions. Not wait 5 months then post on a forum

Well i ping anything from 200 to 500 (when it spikes) and have no problem killing most people. Ive even had a 500 ping and faced someone with a 600 ping. took a lot of ammo but i killed him eventually, just compensate for the ping and learn how to shoot in the useful topics thread

As these HQ's currently serve no other purpose than a fun thread, (they arent used in matches on the whole), I'm in the process of working out a ladder where gangs can fight for territories, (think racing for pink slips, but replace racing with killing and pink slips for property deeds ). Wether this will be incorperated into the Clanbase style ladder in development, or will stand seperate is yet to be decided. More news when it comes

yes playing via proxy will hit your ping and you latency hard, therefore increasing the chance of timing out. But note that most text you send IS sent, other players see it even if you do not see it yourself. Also note the goons server is large, therefore giving a much higher chance of pinging out, especially if you have a slower computer/connection or are distant from it (or use a proxy for some wierd reason)

what is this ulk-a and ulk-b all of a sudden? a way to double your chances of winning and amount of matches? i have never seen anyone tagged as such either in irc or on game servers, its always simply {ulk} Id rethink that as its a little unfair to the other larger gangs such as kfc. one gang one slot seems a much fairer and more sensible way to go

Wrong forum, besides, that log doesnt show they are cheaters at all, one is merely asking 'are you a cheater too', there may have been another cheater on there and the guy is asking of theres yet another. And Don is saying he kills cheaters...

nos, that is the countdown script, you realise that right? as im unsure who you are telling 'ok this is the script' Anyway, if you have no other entries under alias mta.text simply change 'elseif' to 'if'. elseif is used to prevent mtama from performing more than one kick, say for example you have a kick on the word ni**er and a kick on coloured text, if somebody said the offensive word in colour mtama would attempt to kick them twice in a row. once for each offense. with elseif it ignores all other instructions below the first triggered one (the coloured text kick) however you cannot BEGIN with an elseif cos mtama will basically say 'elseif what? therere nothing else in here' So change to if, reload the scripts.mrc and countdown is enabled

the server config tool for 0.3.1 is not yet released, the old versions dont support all the options therefore you will need to manually edit the config in notepad.

Sorry cerbera its been half term holidays here so my kids have been around and ive been away from the pc doing more important things (playing starwars, looking around toy shops etc ) I quite like the idea of an 'open day' with both gangs playing as much as we can, kind of a meet-n-greet-n-shoot. Well the last i heard from vck was a leader and 3 members asking why the time was set so late and that they couldnt make it.

Choose a stable smaller server. You'll find most larger servers have a constant rotation of players who dont get to know each other and develop the 'group spirit' that allows the gameplay to vary like that. therefore kill kill kill is the only feasable option. Whereas on a smaller server you will find regulars who will often be quite happy to vary the activities. Only 2 nights ago on the 8 player we went from ffa to cops v me to total cessation of combat whilst i showed some prime stunt areas ending in a demolition derby that did end up spilling out into the streets around the stadium. And in all that time we only had one party pooper come in and try to shoot us (despite having the current activity explained to them), at which we turned on him en masse, killed him, and resumed the fun

Just use the official 8 player, I do and my dialup handles it fine.

I fail to see how offering them in one location would make them any easier to install and use than offering them from another location. They are simplicity itself to install as explained in the manual.

It is nothing to do with the specifications of your PC's and everything to do with the fact that MTA is beta. Cars are not syncd when they have no driver, you bail it will stop for the other players as soon as u exit it. Car positions and damage are not syncd when they are abandoned, therefore a car that died for you may not have died for others. As for shooting and missing there is an aiming offset thats covered in detail in the thread int he Useful Topics forum. Next time SEARCH before posting such basic stuff
