As I allready mentioned the current gtat releases are beta-versions and have to be tested before we(gtat-team) release a final version. So don't be sad if something isn't working and some features aren't in final releases (because the betatest had shown that they aren't working). The latest MTA release is something already betatested and that's why released to the public. They make closed beta tests and we make open ones. Thats the difference and thats the reason why some people who just want to play should take MTA (install and go) (or the final gtat-releases like 0.3 was) and people who want to help the development and improve the current gtat beta versions should play gtat beta releases. This stuff is inside the release! But as you know this is a beta, and some guys didn't understand how to enter a boat in correct way --> we disabled this and allowed only experienced guys (persons who can open a .vcs-file with notepad and change the comment sign in front of boats) to play WITH BOATS, Yep, but I don't know why they flame? I understand, that a lot of guys don't like me. A lot of guys don't like things they do not use that often (WinXP<->Linux) this doesn not mean that MTA or GTAT is better, but I think everyone who hates gtat should think about the problem he has with it and why he loves mta (the same goes for the other way). I am at university now, so I am very busy with this stuff. If you want to read how current gtat development is going and what you can expect from the next gtat release check this Link at forum.gtat.org Cu guys, Draco why would we have to think of it? gtat went from pretty nice, but not really great to very sucky (i still prefer gtat0.3 over 0.5) and i play mta, cause it has playersand it's good playable I must say that gtat 0.3 was better then the current 0.5e-version because I added a new system which has some difficulties with the VC-Engine, but those are fixed now, so the next 0.5 should be better then 0.3 . I do not like if somebody is flaming in my forums against MTA or GTAT. So I would appreciate if you would do this in MTA-Forums, too. I think a MultiplayerMod is a hack of a Game, with one fact : the modders do not have the source-code. So the features depend on what the teams found out about the MemAddresses/API and Main.scm stuff. But, one thing, every Multiplayer-Mod-Team needs to make is a good netcode and player join or leave handling, the interface and this stuff. I think that MTA will be a good MultiplayerMod with Cars and Players, but I don't think that it will have features which BF1942 doesn't has. So MTA will be a great GTA-MP for guys who like games like BF1942 or C&C-Renegade. But I try to reach a different aim when I code on gtat, which you probably will understand when I'm as far as I want to come with gtat. In current dev-state the two aims are nearly the same, getting the players nearly syncho into the games on 2 and more pcs. So play MTA if you like it and don't play the beta-gtat-versions, but do not flame things which aren't done, like MTA (0.4!=1.0) and GTAT (0.5!=1.0) are. Was allready posted @ http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=7021&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45 gtaTournament has NO ADWARE OR SPYWARE. it has JUST an inclient browser, which isn't showing the annoying popup from gtat.org as popup, it shows it as browser-tab. A lot of guys like this gta2-font! There is the original gta2-sound in background! If you don't like? Disable with on click or an console command! The same with features you don't want to use, just disable them! Cya, DracoBlue -

Okay guys! If I didn't wanted you to get who was it, I would NEVER do this in that bad way! Remember that I was logged in! My IP was connected to my Nickname in this forums, so finding me was VERY easy. I would have used some Mix-Systems to hide my IP and would not log in and you would never get me! Those Mix-Systems are used in Anonymizer-Websites. I only wanted to show you that one small program can make your forums and mine too crash! You have to see that this problem is for us all! I would never damage your server or website, because I have to do really other things! As you know I msg IJs and talked to him, to make this clear. Don't see this as attack [because a attack would be much harder] and try with me to find solutions to make those things not possible, for MTA and GTAT forums. Yep it is true! I flooded for some minutes the forums of MTA! Everyone thinks that I did this to damage MTA! No that is not the reason! The reason is, that I tested the forums of MTA! I wrote a small tool just 1 sourcecodeline and this program was able to make a whole forums laggy. I wanted to test this [sorry IJs that I didn't ask you before but after our small talk I think you understand what I mean]. Sorry to all Guys havin disadvantages because of this! Plz imagine my situation! I code alone with one PC @ home. I have to w8 for my friends to be online for testing the latest version of gtat. Because of this aspects my dev can't be that fast, even if I would be better as the MTA-Coder (don't want to say this so plz don't worry). So when I have an idea which is new (like the stunt-thing) I put it in and keep silence, because proabably MTA does not implement it before me and I am the founder of the idea. This stunt idea is sure since gtat 0.2b was released. This was implemented too and was one of the secret things in our featurelist. Now MTA released there small Stunt-Server . This Clients have only the change (as I could see) that the normal singleplayer ingame script for stunts is back activated. But if you look at my stunt-feature you will see, that I put the font and sounds from gta2 in the game, when you do an insanestunt. The Stunts are synchro by the server in his stats and in the score you see ppoints and best stunt-guys. That are so much things MTA does not have. This are things which can't be coded in one day, they had been allready in. So plz guys if you think I am stealing don't post youre features in news and you will see that gtat codes the same stuff too without reading your news. MTA looks not bad as it is currently, but I think when MTA will start putting inside the feature for more players or more than 1000 cars (like gtat will) they will have problems with their coding method. Hmm the problem is, that there are 45 main.scm textfields which can be filled with text. But when I fill them running the mta-0.2-client all those fields are cleared all the time. Things like the Infos about Characterselection are shown there too but this fields I don't overwrite to keep MTA runnin without any problems. My current version works quite good, but because this fields are all 50ms blanked I have to refill them after every clean by the mta-client --> game gets slower with this method. It would be easier and better for the performance to keep some of this free of this cleaning part. (Even if there is no speedometer MTA probably could run faster without this, but this is not my part *lol*) Cya, DracoBlue

[1. I KNOW THIS IS A MOD, BUT IT DOES NOT EFFECT MTA IN ANY CASE] Hi guys! Probably you know about that Speedometer I made for GTA VC. I made it for MTA 0.1 compatible and had a lot of fun with it! In MTA 0.2 it does not work, because MTA overwrites those MEM-Addresses where I type in my Designed-Speedometer with blank fields to keep it invisible. I think you would like to know how fast you are inside your MP-Game. Plz vote that the MTA-Coders stop blanking that mem-addresses so the Speedometer works again in MTA 0.2.
