If you are on a server and have rcon admin access, type 'rcon_login yourpw' in the console (F8) while you got the correct nick. Type 'help' in the console for all commands. If you mean remote admin, you need to a remote admin client. The mta server provides such client (in the server directory), another one would be MTAma for mIRC.

Well, this server runs on linux. My windows server is sortet alphabetically.

It is impossible. Why should it be impossible? Let the suspects spawn in an area where you can get out but can't get in.

I think he means the maplist when you type 'races' or 'maps' in the console while being on a server. There are no tabs. And I would like to sort it too.

I only forwarded the udp ports you mentioned, and it works fine.

You may want to read this thread: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15711 If the suspects should have an object, but not the police, just make the first checkpoint unreachable for the police. If the police got helicopters, remember to change the checkpoint mode to the ring, otherwise it would be reachable for the helicopter or by doing some trickjumps/whatever (depends on you starting location).

I haven't downloaded your script, but I was wondering if the description in the first post is still up-to-date and you have to replace spaces with '-'. I would use a seperator between the map and the instructions, as it is easer to type and there are no misunderstandings (are '-' allowed in map names?). For example you could use $gettok(map name:instructions,1, 58 ) (I guess there are no ':' in map names). Nice work, though I prefer scripting myself. It's more fun and I get what I need. But you created a good script for everyone who isn't able to (for reasons of knowledge, time or anything else). I guess my scripts are not that good to release them and they are not designed for distribution (no dialogs or such yet), but they seem to work.

Looks like great fun. I like that idea of putting the first cp out of the reach for the cops. The spawnorder seems well thought-out.

So the master of Hydra ( ) uses 1st person view, then I'm maybe on the right way. Well, when I fly step by step, I manage most of it, but not that damn tunnel. Are you flying with gamepad or are you just using the keyboard better than me?

I happens sometimes that you can't activate checkpoints or vehicle-changes anymore and your chat messages won't be displayed. A short time after that, you will be kicked for cheating, while it is impossible to win the race (what an effecient type of cheating). This happened to me and several other players on various servers. It is different to lag or timeout. I sometimes activate the checkpoint a few seconds after I drove through, but this happens not often and is not very disturbing if you just keep on driving. When having a timeout, it will look for the other players like you have just quit the game.

I will try to modify the spawnpoints. If you want to use Dust Slide for 2 player competition, feel free to do so.. I found the mousewheel quite handy to set the size of the cp so it fits the circumstances. What kind of markers do you suggest? I am not very familiar with the objects list yet.

I won't say that I don't like hard races, but one or two spots could be improved. But not if there are jumps or whatever that won't result in an immediate explosion or damage, but just prevent the player from advancing in the race. This can be quite frustrating. Well, I remember a True_Spin or something like that, perhaps it was another player ..

Maybe. But you also have to remember that testing the map alone won't really show you the challenge and fun you could have with other players. If you make it too hard, it can fast be frustrating for most players, when they die too often or get stuck somewhere. Also with many players, some easy jumps are not that easy. I find my maps sometimes boring and too easy, but if you look at other races that ARE played on public servers (mine aren't) they are not THAT hard (usually). Now that you mention it, I remember your name..

I would like to submit something as well. I've done many maps so far, but finished only a few. http://center.mtasa.com/?p=search&text=driver2 I think the San Fierro maps would meet the requirements for a straight race. I don't know if you also need something like the 'Desert Way'. It's a Sanchez race through the desert. I just added 'Dust Slide', a race by Cheetah, that uses mainly tracks in the field or forest.
