Guest
Now I usually dont ask dumb questions but knowing this is a mod... can u play the full game on a server? Or is it just like free roam wit friends? Or is it only racing missions? Also how stable would u rate the game so far (beta wise)... cause before i go out and buy vc again id like to know this stuff.... Thanks Link to comment
Jani
1) It's free roam. In Deathmatch mode, you kill other people. In Stunt mode, you perform stunts to gain cash. 2) I would rate the stability about 3/10. Don't worry though, hopefully the next release will be more like 5 or 8 out of 10, and then finally MTABlue will be like 10 and stuff. Link to comment
orappa
Nah, I'd say between 5 and 6. For me, at least, it's far more stable than 0.4. The thing is, we're all waiting on the release of the new core, Blue, which uses different methods of interfacing with the game and will offer greater stability. The current core has been used since version 0.2 and has been going for more than 2 years, so it's in need of an update. For more info about the new core, go to http://www.mtablue.info . The Blue core will be used for the first time in the upcoming MTA:SA ( http://www.mtasa.com ). Link to comment
Guest
Alright cool... so when blue comes out in a few weeks the game will run smoother.. awesome cant wait Link to comment
Vicer/Spitfire
Well we dont actually know if Blue will come out in a few weeks because the team is more focused on MTASA Link to comment
orappa
Blue is the name of the technology that they use, not a name for a specific version of MTA. When MTA:SA comes out, Blue will "come out" also. When the mtablue.info page was written, MTA:SA had not been announced (I'm not even sure that San Andreas had been announced), so it was originally intended for Vice City. Since then, there has been a massive amount of community demand for a San Andreas version of MTA so they have put this as a priority. When MTA:SA has reached a satisfying level for them (this may take multiple releases), they may choose to release a new version for Vice City that runs on the Blue core, providing that demand still exists for it. Vicer/Spitfire
Jon I'm not so sure about a demand for MTAVC with the blue core after MTASA. People just wouldnt want it as much as MTASA. MTAVC and MTASA should be just released together Link to comment

MTAVC and MTASA should be just released together You said that there wouldn't be sufficient demand after MTA:SA, so why would people play MTA:VC if it's bundled with MTA:SA? I'd like to see a Blue version of Vice City after MTA:SA, and I'm sure many other people in the community would like this as well. Each game has a very different style and feel to it. I like the '80s feel of VC and the brooding tone of GTA3. The only thing I can see preventing a Blue release of VC is if someone creates a VC mod for SA like GTA:LC. Link to comment
