You probably have a firewall, so you need to unblock MTA on it.

Also, you may be connecting to non-existant servers, try the official server @ 67.19.87.237:2003

This error is really starting to p*ss me off, every time I try to connect to one particular server it times out straight away. I tried a bunch of other servers then tried connecting again but still no go. Turned firewall off, no difference. Tried reinstalling, resetting config file, reseting router, jeez what else is there..

If it only happens on one server, that's probably because the server's down.

I was on the same server as him. But it was temporary.
