Jani
wireless routers thats your problem right there. wireless routers scan for a better frquency in time intervals, some do it every 60 seconds, obviously yours does it every 5 seconds or so. if you want my advice, plug the cable modem directly into the pc your trying to play it on, and then connect. it should be fine. if it still times out however, phone your service provider and yell at them. if its fine, plug the wireless router into that same computer, and then in the network control panel, bridge the 2 connections and leave on this pc as the internet server. [FKU]X
yeh, i am happy I did not get one , i got it wired, you could get a spliter for your cable or DSL, stick the router on one , and computer for MTA on another. Link to comment
Jani
wtf is a splitter? just get yourself an auto-sensing and auto-switching wired router, and some cat5 cables. Link to comment
njr1489
I've actually seen an ethernet splitter on ebay. The last time I checked it was a lot for a small thing like that. It looks like a phone line splitter but with ethernet ports. Link to comment
