Guest
Hey I have forever now been trying to find the player model files and a way to get them into a 3d app. I can find all the map models, cars and what not, but no player models. Please can someone tell me where I can find the player models? Figured I would ask beings we have some of the bigest modders to GTA:VC right here. Link to comment
Scorp
They are in the gta3.img file (C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\models\) I think ironicly that they are called 'player1' and upwards, been so long since I've modded my game. could the active modders please correct me if I'm wrong Link to comment
l2ebel
the normal player model of vc (the one you first start the game) is named player.dff and as scorp said located in the gta3.img file which you have to open with an img tool.. the ohter player models just go upwards player2 player3.... for me the easiest way of knowing which player model for example 5 is and how it looks like is to open the gta3.img with a txd tool and search for the txd's of the player models, then you see which dff name to search for with which 3d prog are you working? well, whatever you use, in the end you will have to use a prog called bender to remake the skeleton, i dont think any other prog can do this for vice (yet) heres the best tip i can give you, http://www.gtaforums.com read some stickies there in the editing discussion and you will find your way Link to comment
