Problem gridList

Hey guys, Im trying to set a list of values defined by me, but it drops me a message

gData = {} 
vari = {"A","b","c","d","e"} 
  
for i=1,5 do 
    gData[i] = " "..vari 
end

DebugScript 3 drops me this message

attempt to concatenate global 'vari' (a tabke value)

Which line the error exist and what are you trying to do.
