+FKU+VVolven
what kinda mod is MTA? is it deathmatch? I wouldn't classify it as deathmatch, though that's a major part of it, but it more of a free-for-all thing, a lot of people race or stunt or hold events aside from the usual run 'n gun. can i play the missions with others? can i do drive-bys with others? =) No to both, but drive-bys should be synced once MTA: Blue is released. and do i have to use this with a fresh install of VC? Yep, modified games can't be played with MTA as they cause instability issues. Something some people do is keep their modded GTA in the original folder, then install GTA again in a new folder for use with MTA. Welcome to MTA and have fun. Link to comment
Guest
Im thinking of getting Vice city for PC to play this online but im not sure if my PC is good enough: 1ghz athlon processor 128MB RAM 64mb gforce vid card (broadband) Can someone also tell me how easy it is to find your friends so you can join their server and does it crash much? Also can you kill anyone or can you form gangs to stop random slaughter ? Link to comment
chaozz
your pc looks qualified enough to play it fairly in a reasonable resoluton (16it 800x600 i'd say). It's easy to find eachother if you're on the same server. just all connect to the same ip, and you're ready to roll. and YES, you can kill everyone. once you spawn, it's total chaozz and thats the power of the game if you ask me. it anarchy, but it's how you use your freedom. you can defend grounds, attack, drive, race, chat.. anything goes. have lot's of fun! Guest
Thanks for answering. Can you tell me if GTa III and VC are compatable with this MOD? Do you have to do missions etc to access all the areas or when you play it online can you do everything already? thanks, Link to comment
chaozz
MTA works for both GTA3 and VC. you cannot do any mission, and as you allready guessed, the areas are all accessable. but i havent played MTA with GTA3 yet, will try that as soon as i get tired of VC, which will probably be .. *never* Link to comment
Guest
Cool, im def gonna buy GTA:VC now! I got GTA 3 VC and SA for PS2 and they are my fav games so I must play this! Is it laggy? Link to comment
chaozz
laggy-ness depends on your connections speed, and ofcourse the server you play on. i have a fairly common broadband cable internet connection, and i never experience lag. but if you play with a 56k modem, thing could get laggy. although the only people noticing this will be your enemies. also, i must warn you.. MTA is in beta stage. it tends to hang every now and then (about every 10 to 15 minutes), but it's very playable anyway. and they are still developing on MTA, so things are looking bright. With the next release of MTA (0.4.5), they plan to include an extra map (Shoreside Vale) and fix some of the bugs. Link to comment
