Guest
oh... I thought I could chose my host-ip... where I get a local ip for a LAN-sever? thx Remus Link to comment
orappa
To cut a long story short, MTA does not work on German versions because they have been censored and the .exe has been modified. Link to comment
Scorp
yea austrailan and german games are censored. however there are many germans and austrailans playing MTA search the forum on how to get it working, there are a dozen topics. Link to comment
Guest
ok... when I install it, i can chose the english version. thats is not the problem... but I need a IP or two if they most be different. please, where I get a IP?? thx Remus Link to comment
Scorp
open run in the start menu>type cmd>and then you type ipconfig use the ip you see there to play on the local network. edit: the ips don't have to be different, only the ports. Just use the default ports if possible. Edited October 8, 2004 by Guest Link to comment
l2ebel
and if you wanna play over the internet download ASE http://www.udpsoft.com to find servers (and read the first time user guide to see how to setup ase) btw, i think its just a rumour that mta doesnt work with censored versions Edited October 8, 2004 by Guest Link to comment

Scorp
the client should connect even if you have a german GTA copy. The problem is when you start the game. Link to comment

orappa
and if you wanna play over the internet download ASE http://www.udpsoft.comto find servers (and read the first time user guide to see how to setup ase) In fact, seeing as you're having difficulty with your LAN IPs, you could use ASE to search for LAN servers. Just go to Tools > Find LAN servers. To play on the machine that is running the server, type localhost in the IP box. Link to comment
