Help, pleace! A German needs help

hi,

I'm german. My English is not so good.

I need help. I want to play MTA 0.4 with my friend, but the client won't start.

can I play MTA on a german game???

on the right side, there is the following:

game: (these fields are grey and I can't do anything)

reset game path (button) ---------------- config.cfg (button)

Host:

Port: 2003

Pass:

Nick:

Connect (Button)

Satrt Game (grey Button and I can't push him)

if I write 11.222.333.44 in host an push conncet, it'll tell me:

"A problem occured while trying to connect"

what can I do, that MTA is function.

(I have a clean GTA!!)

11.222.333.44 isnt an ip, get a real server ip and use that

where I get a local ip for a LAN-sever?

To cut a long story short, MTA does not work on German versions because they have been censored and the .exe has been modified.

however there are many germans and austrailans playing MTA

search the forum on how to get it working, there are a dozen topics.

ok... when I install it, i can chose the english version. thats is not the problem...

but I need a IP or two if they most be different.

please, where I get a IP??

open run in the start menu>type cmd>and then you type ipconfig

use the ip you see there to play on the local network.

edit: the ips don't have to be different, only the ports. Just use the default ports if possible.

to find servers (and read the first time user guide to see how to setup ase)

btw, i think its just a rumour that mta doesnt work with censored versions

it doesn't connect, but i think that is cause i have the german version. i install gta new....

In fact, seeing as you're having difficulty with your LAN IPs, you could use ASE to search for LAN servers. Just go to Tools > Find LAN servers.

To play on the machine that is running the server, type localhost in the IP box.

if I push the start button, my pc'll load the cd, but than he stop to search, although the cd is in the cd-rom drive...

why it is so? cause of the english version or do I need a back up (cause it is a burned rom)
