Guest
I created a server and then joined with the mta client but no one could join this server except me. I gave the Ip to several people. I deactivated my firewall to test it but no one could join. Could somebody help me? My Fritz Web Dsl Modem uses Ip Masquerading maybe this could have to do with it.? Link to comment
Kent747
make sure you forwarded your ports correctly also you should verify you actually gave them your ip (if you are behind a router the ip you get from ipconfig is not your public ip. head over to http://www.whatismyip.com and send htem that ip for them to connect to. Good Luck Kent I can only join the server when I take the Ip from ipconfig /all. The others couldn't connect over this Ip and over the Ip from http://www.whatismyip.com Link to comment

Anyways you put the internal ip of your computer in there and reboot your router (this will leave your machine more vulnerable tho.) and other players still join over external ip (the one in http://www.whatismyip.com) still forwarding ports is more recommended edit: I also have Ip Masquerading, but it doesn't mess anything up. Kent747
if you can't join your own server using your external ip ( the one from whatismip.com) then the problem lies within forwarding ports.. I'd double check everything, somehow your ports aren't being forwarded. Kent Link to comment
Guest
I solved the problem by forwarding port 2003 in my modem configuration. I had two firewalls active. Thanks for help but there is a new problem: When my friend comes to the server he quits due to timeout after a few seconds. Link to comment
