Castillo Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Hello, So, today I wanted to replace entire map to add snow textures, but when I did so, the buildings become invisible. The amount of textures I replaced: 1114. I tried replacing 400 and the problem did not occur, so I take it that there is some sort of limit? AMD HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 @Gallardo: Right now, I made it load 1 texture every 50 milliseconds, but I really doubt the speed is the problem, it seems to be more like a MTA limit. AJXB Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I'm no experience is such things, but I assume it's a GTA problem, see this problem happened to me because of MTA:SA storage limit, that's what I assume. Offtopic: what's your steam ID? ~ This has to be the worst board post I have ever read. It simply makes no sense. You start off by talking about space or something, then you randomly start babbling about cupcakes, and you end off with random fish names. ~ Don't listen to this guy, any board with the categories 'dinosaurs, spaceships, fried foods, wild animals, alien abductions, business casual, robots, and fireworks' has true potential.
Dealman Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I doubt it's the GPU that is at fault, but I've got a GTX 780 if you'd want me to check it out - see if we both get the same result. But it does indeed seem like a limit, can't you try to find when it occurs? Play around with the number of executions. TXD files, I considered using shaders, but I'm not really sure how efficient will it be, and the impact on the player FPS. @Necktrox: AMD Catalyst driver 14.9. Total conversions mods only work with Eir (I played Vice City in the air above San Andreas on Eir). I don't understand why you'd want to retexture everything though... you can't expect more than 75% of your player base to play on your server (and download textures - even if it's got a download manager) with the amount of lag introduced by this. My advice: just use the shader that vx89 kindly linked to you.
Feche1320 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 If I remember correctly when my little brother modded his entire GTA SA game he was having a similar issue, objects appeared as you move or they had only LOD lodaded. In my opinion, a GTA bug. www.host-ar.com.ar
