Use onClientPlayerQuit

#include <iostream>

int main() {

    std::cout << "C++ is amazing <3" << std::endl;

    return 0;

}

onClientResourceStop does trigger, but it passes a remote player element, so you have to set the second argument of addEvent to true if you pass it to the server, like this

addEvent("potato",true)

Use onClientPlayerQuit and the player who quit is source not localPlayer

#include <iostream>

int main() {

    std::cout << "C++ is amazing <3" << std::endl;

    return 0;

}
