Thank you. Whether you want to call it "Capture the Briefcase" or any other name, I think it's generally agreed that CTF would be a great addition to MTA. It would obviously give people more to do in Vice City, which is exactly what we're looking for, no? I think it would be one of the most fun games that could be added "easily". While I'd greatly appreciate any implementation whatsoever, in my opinion: the best way to add things is to make them optional and customizeable. All of the below options would be set by the server. First, I propose a multi-team system. The server could choose bases for X teams (1-10 maybe, out of about 10 good spots I've found so far, which I'll mention below). This would help so there aren't as many "uneven" games (as users frequently come and go). Also, it would greatly increase the areas in which someone could score. I also liked a previous post's idea about a "safe point" (multi-base system). The server admin could decide to give team A a base in locations 1 and 3, and team B a base in locations 2 and 4, or even bias the base count if he deems necessary. Whether it be two or more bases, a multi-base system is a good idea to speed up play in the massive city. Of course, it would also be nice if "assault mode" were an available option (bring home team's flag into opposing base). Here is a short list of potential base areas: -Oceanbeach Hotel (Upstairs, Tommy's Room) -Vercetti Mansion (Upstairs, Office) -Bank (Upstairs, elevator/safe) -Lighthouse (Upstairs) -Coffee Shop in Mall (in the rear room) -Prawn Island Studios (in a studio) -The Office Building (in Downtown, Up the elevator) -The Airport (either atop or upstairs inside) -Military Base (rear, near apache spawn point) -Ship (one with pedestrian access) -Memorial Stadium (Top of Stairs/Entry) -Most of the standard Save Points A customizeable weapon/vehicles location/limit system would be great (perhaps completely outside of CTF). This would allow only certain vehicles/weapons to spawn in certain areas, like the bases. There could also be an option to just "disable" a certain type of vehicle(s), such as Helicopters (though I wouldn't know why ). It'd also be a good to have this kind of spawn control on characters too. This could probably be done by script from what I hear. Finally, the one other minor suggestion I have concerns helicopters. I haven't been able to nor do I know anyone who has been able to place two people in the Hunter. Nor have I seen any way of obtaining a Sea Sparrow in the Vercetti Mansion (or at all), and a Hunter in Ocean Beach. It would be great if these vehicles were enabled (for multiple people). Perhaps even with the ability for the passenger to aim the guns / missiles. A set of 2 two-person helicopters with a four person Maverick backup would strike fear into the opponent's heart when storming the base. This would be a great addition. I apologize for the length of this post. I've tried to keep it minimal and avoid any repeats or excessive description. I hope you consider my suggestions. But i see a problem in your idea , the bases are not so good. The locations are too closed. -Oceanbeach Hotel (Upstairs, Tommy's Room) ( only one entrance) -Vercetti Mansion (Upstairs, Office) ( not that bad but maybe just not IN the office but right at the door before you enter it, otherwise you would be in a closed room, if you get what i mean) -Bank (Upstairs, elevator/safe) (only one entrance) -Lighthouse (Upstairs) (same as above) -Coffee Shop in Mall (in the rear room) (same as above) -Prawn Island Studios (in a studio) (this one is a good one altougth again maybe not inside them but close to them) -The Office Building (in Downtown, Up the elevator) ( maybe not so bad cause you could just jump out of window if your closed in) -The Airport (either atop or upstairs inside) (this one is pretty good) -Military Base (rear, near apache spawn point) (good one) -Ship (one with pedestrian access) (good one) -Memorial Stadium (Top of Stairs/Entry) (good one again) -Most of the standard Save Points (too much to explain) And maybe remove choppers in this gamemode to make it more challanging otherwise it would be too easy just fly in and get it and fly away ( choppers in air you cant stop ) Link to comment
