WASSIm.
hi guys, what OS template VPS is better for mta server. i have: RAM: 128 MB SWAP: 256 MB Disk Size: 10 GB Link to comment
Woovie
128MB for the entire system? You're not even hitting the recommended RAM for Debian without a desktop. Not sure what OS to run here. If you could run MTA on just a linux kernel I'd say that. That's not enough RAM for a server. Link to comment
ixjf
I assume that is a Host1Free VPS. A friend of mine has run a freeroam server on that and it worked just fine with about 8-10 players - that's all he was able to grab, I have no idea how well it would handle more, but definitely wouldn't handle 30-40+ players. XoBurst
To host a MTA server it is better to get a VPS with at least 528 MB RAM and you can use Ubuntu as OS. Link to comment
WASSIm.
Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit sure ? Link to comment
'LinKin
I use that one, I've not anything to complain about. For me it's fine. Whenever I need to research something about it, it's quite easy to find it. Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit is very common and well-known, thus, it's a good choice. Also, as far as I know, Ubuntu and Debian are similar, correct me if I'm wrong; The commands typed in Ubuntu are the same as Debian. Link to comment
