Guest
Hi there.. I got a little problem. I was testing the ban function on a script. I banned myself in that thought that i easily could unban myself. Now /mta can't connect to itself and my client either. Then it's pretty difficult to unban myself this way. I knew that, but then i could just remove my ip, name etc from the MTAwarn.ini and then all would be fin. I THOUGHT! I'm still banned. I have looked in banned.lst, logs, MTAwarn.ini etc etc. But i'm still banned. Where do i remove me from the ban list ??? I find it pretty comic. All these simple files and not many of them, but still i can't find anything that has to do with my IP, name or anything. Link to comment
Dgtadude
Simple.. Download a new server . and copy the mtaserver.conf from the old one to the new one .. This is the easyer way to do ... and .. i donno why . but ur ip should be in the ban file .. but anyways . just download a new one . and copy the file over . and it should be all set Link to comment
Robpol86
1. close the mta server 2. delete the ban file (banned.lst?) 2. start your server Link to comment
Guest
There is nothing in banned.lst There was... both in this file and in MTAwarn.ini I deleted the entry, closed server. Still i was banned And i lokked again if the entry was back or something, but no... the files was empty. Then i just did what TmM_Dgtadude is talking about. I just didn't overwrite the mtaserver.conf I also installed mtama again except the scripts.mrc file. So it all worked again, and the server was running exactly like before... Think it's weird, but it works again! Link to comment
Robpol86
I deleted the entry, closed server. no, close server THEN delete. when u close the server, it writes back everything in the file, so any changes directly to the file will be lost and replaced when mtaserver is closed Link to comment
Guest
And i lokked again if the entry was back or something, but no... the files was empty. It should be looked. As i said. The files was empty... they didn't come back or anything. That's what pissed me off Nothing to delete! Link to comment
Guest
And i could also tell you that i deleted everything inside all log files etc. Still the same. Closed everything that has to do with MTA. Even mIRC! Looked in files, and they were empty. Started it all up again, looked in files... still empty. I think i used about 2 hrs to figure it out before i reinstalled it except the scripts.mrc and mtaserver.conf ----------- So i have no clue where to find ban list Link to comment
