GamerDeMTA Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 So, I tried to download Notepad++ from the official page [ http://notepad-plus-plus.org ] but when the download of the latest version almost finished, AVAST! told me that the file is too old or few avast! users found it... What's this? and it said its suspicious
xTravax Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 You've downloaded a newer version of Notepad++ and that's why it warns you because not many people have new version of it. It's not infected so it's safe to download&install it.
Woovie Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 It's perfectly fine. Avast is crappy. Wrong section.
Dealman Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I stopped using Avast when it detected a few of its own files as malicious. :I
Spajk Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 It is possible that those files were infected.
myonlake Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Notepad++ is not infected nor you can imply that, so stick with the facts, please.
Spajk Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I was saying about the avast files Dealman mentioned
