rain_gloom Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 It is getting really annoying that whenever I forget logging in on the main page and start writing something, I can't send it AND I have to rewrite the whole stuff, because that cursed login can't remember that I logged in. Just a moment ago I lost a text about the size of a double-sided A/4 essay (kind of a dev wiki) because the auto-login was turned off on this browser and I logged in afterwards. Please do something about it at last.
MTA Team jhxp Posted October 18, 2013 MTA Team Posted October 18, 2013 On which of our sites are you having these problems?
rain_gloom Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 this, the forum, but there were others complaining before to no avail. is there anything that can be done? it's not *that* irritating, but can be a huge pain still.
Jaysds1 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Make sure you use the domain "mtasa.com" instead of "multitheftauto.com"
MTA Team ccw Posted October 31, 2013 MTA Team Posted October 31, 2013 Exact steps to reproduce please
rain_gloom Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Exact steps to reproduce please I opened a post, tried to reply, the site asked for me to log in, I logged in (so no error message about name or pass being wrong) and I was redirected to the main page. Then I calmly raged out.
MTA Team ccw Posted November 3, 2013 MTA Team Posted November 3, 2013 Need more input. Did you login before opening the post? EDIT: Also, do you check the 'Keep me logged in' box when logging in?
Noki Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I had this issue one, but on SMF. I was going to websitename.net instead of websitename.net/index.php or whatever it was. Though this forum uses phpBB, you could give it a shot. Try either forum.multitheftauto.com or forum.multitheftauto.com/index.php. If either one of them is a bookmarked favourite, change it to the other one.
MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted November 5, 2013 MTA Team Posted November 5, 2013 The only reason you would get logged out is if the cookie is having problems. This only happens when using the wrong domain. The forums should be visited from https://forum.multitheftauto.com and not from forum.multitheftauto.com . It's a limitation within phpBB
