Piorun Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I think no one wrote about it so i decide to do it. So - MTA supports HLSL. It's cool but u know - it's bit too old. Now ppl are using OpenGL or something like this so why dont add support for GLSL shaders?
ixjf Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 GTA still uses DirectX9. GLSL is OpenGL's shading language. DirectX9 does not support it. I used to know how to code, but then I took an arrow in the knee. Project Redivivus - Remaking Old School MTA With New Code MTA 0.6 Nightly 1 released
myonlake Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 GTA still uses DirectX9. GLSL is OpenGL's shading language. DirectX9 does not support it. Exactly. You might call the current technique out-dated, but hey, what do you expect from a game that was made in 2004? It's not just possible to implement a totally new graphics or shaders to it. If I helped you, please click the like button on the right Thanks!

DX9 has still allot to give - I think that much has not yet been done. Unfortunately, here are not that many people in the community who are into creating shaders. I make shaders .. mainly. My community resources I'll do some custom stuff, I'm open for cooperation.
