Crash after splash

Paco420

Question

Have MTA working just fine on my 86x system but here on the new 64x it just quietly dies off even after checking each of the compatibility modes. Kinda lost now... any ideas?

OK, all the drivers installed successfully as far as I can tell.

So MTA just quits randomly? Does it happen on any server, even map editor? Does it always happen after a certain amount of time, or is it completely random?

I don't even get to see it open... Just shows the splash screen of MTA after double clicking the icon, I watch the process manager and it shows the process (Multi Theft Auto.exe) reaching around 6,8xxK and gta_se.exe reaching around 21,5xxK and then suddenly disappearing from the list. No error message, nothing... kinda baffles me... I honestly expected it to work after updating... >.>

:-( maybe when mta comes to GTA5 I guess... that or just wait for a patch release as soon as the issue can be pinpointed to..

Update : managed to capture this shortly after messing around with 1.3.2 and compatibility modes... Switched it to windows 7 compatibility mode and this popped up... after pressing ok i was unable to repeat the error as it didn't cause the same reaction afterwords.

Ok so here is an update that leaves even me confused....

I finally got a switch up and running and networked my old system to my new one transfering my old MTA install folder to my new system over the current copy that doesn't seem to work...

After doing said overwrite, it boots up just fine. wtf?

**another followup** Booted up MTA and attempted to connect to a server, was given a message that I need to update MTA... Updated MTA... returned to having the same issue... the game would not boot... after updating on the old system and being able to play and login to a server on the old system I repeated the steps to overwrite the files and try again with the updates already done... Now I am getting the following errors. 4 screenshots of 4 of the popup attempts to start the game.

Please uninstall MTA:SA and install MTA:SA 1.3.3 into a fresh folder and then the latest nightly and see if MTA is still crashing.

Completely uninstalled both GTA:SA and MTA then ran CCleaner to confirm registry cleanup, defrag, and deleted all settings folders created by both programs. Reinstalled, returns me to the same issues as those from the beginning... simple quiet crash with no messages.

  • Please disable any anti-virus programs
  • Try running MTA as admin(Right click and select "Run as administrator")
  • Try running MTA in compatibility mode (RECOMMENDED: Windows XP Service Pack 3)

If none of the above works, please tell me when was the last time MTA worked properly and did you downloaded any programs after MTA stopped working.

Ive tried that a number of times and it is always ran as Admin... Anti-virus program isn't a question... I personally run Housecall and Malwarebytes every day and don't have a local anti virus that could cause these conflicts.

As for compatibility mode I've attempted all the obvious ones on the list. Can't seem to pinpoint what the issue is other then the fact this is a 64x system, its the only major difference in settings between the two system.
