doggy888 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Hello, i have one question. I have "clean" skin from GTA folder, i know i should change looks in .txd but what with .dff? I should do something with it or make changes in .txd and this will be working on server?
RainBow Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 txd is basicly the look of the 3d model, dff is like the deffinations of the model, meaning how things interact with it. So yes, you should replace both.

bandi94 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 TXD - is mapping file , there you can chage the look of the object. Like the color of a ped or etc. (txd workshop and photoshop) DFF - is 3D model file , there you can change the object's itself, like attach a spoiler to car. (3ds max + kam's script or Zmodeler but it not so good )

Hmmmm. i don't know for shure , but if the model (dff) is the original ingame one , and you only wanna change the txd (like recolor it) , i think it will be enought to upload the txd only. I never tryed to recolor original object's alway's i was using with new dff to
denny199 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 The GTA textures have each an name, this is named in the .dff file. Let's say I'm having a costum car. There's one .dff file and one .txd file, in the .TXD file are all the images of the car (body, spoiler, hood, windows, sfeeringwheel, wheels) and the dff contains ofcourse the 3d model, if you are opening the 3d model with 3ds max for example and then select de texture editor, it will show you all the names for example: "car_hood", this is the texture name that is inside the .txd folder. If you are changing the .txd file with lets say better textures, it will still work. but if you are deleting one texture from the .txd file you won't see that texture on the object(white).
