Chewd
I haven't tried it yet, but I was wondering if anyone thinks you might get any better performance from MTAVC by changing the process priority in task manager? Just a thought... Link to comment
Dgtadude
all that will basicly do is refresh the "memory usage" faster. And it might reserver a little more mb of ram for it . nor sure ... Link to comment
orappa
Yeah, but you have to bear in mind that it can sometimes sacrifice key Windows processes. I have tried this on a few occasions, and the first time, it couldn't update my virtual memory quickly enough and ran out of memory. On the second time, it delayed my keyboard and mouse input so everything was laggy. In my experience, even without these problems, it doesn't make a lot of difference. Link to comment
Chewd
Thanxs for the input... I appreicate it.. I was considering changing priority up to high since I've got 3 GB of RAM.. but reserved 1 GB alone for windows system processes using tweak ui.. think it might work in this case? Link to comment
Dgtadude
yes . i also used Ram memory saver . and programmed 512mb of memory so be reserved every time i open mta or gtavc . so the game never gets slow . on mta it dosent help that much but it does make it quicker to restart when it crashes . but in VC i saw a MAJOR difference . cause before i usually left a program running the in the background and it made VC slow . Now , no matter what i leave open in the background . it will affect the background programs not VC Link to comment
Ransom
Yeah its kinda annoying that your SP vice city can be sooo flawless, but then you get the MTA and your textures load 10 yrs later Link to comment
