Scroll wheel not working

Meh, I tried searching but couldn't find this..

the scroll wheel on my new mouse doesn't work in GTA, and I have to use the . button to change weapons, which is not convinient.

ermm..any way to fix it?

what type of mouse do you own?

some mice need drivers (yeah, i know, it's stupid)

and is the config set right?

I have a Kensington Optical Elite with the latest Kensington drivers. The wheel works everywhere else, and pressing the wheel down works, forget what is does though.

and is your vice city config set right?

if so, try alt-tabbing out of your game, then back in.

or uninstalling the kensington drivers and using windows default mouse drivers. you might lose some functions (any extra buttons possibly)

i had the same prob with my cordless mouse, just install the windows drivers, and it worx

one possiblility is ... I had a wheel mouse that came with its own drivers AND software whereas when you click the middle mouse button down in windows it will come up with a round menu system with links to internet explorer etc...... try removing that software worked for me

Heh, before I installed the latest Kensington drivers, Windows defaulted me with Kensington drivers. There seems not to be any other drivers that work with it, heh and I like the functions of my extra buttons. Oh well, period button it is.
