[HELP] mta_mysql.dll on 64 bit

Hi, when I start the server on my PC x86, mta_mysql.dll works. Else if I start it on a Dedicated Server x64 it says this:

MODULE: Unable to find modules/mta_mysql.dll 

.

I have Windows on both of systems, but my PC is x86 while the Dedicated Server is x64.

Then try to reinstall it, you may forgot to put mta_mysql.dll in modules folder.

No, there is in modules folder and I added the row to load it in mtaserver.conf .

Ah, Windows server! Good on you! Windows doesn't care about stuff being compiled for architectures. (the only exception is XP64)

I tested and attempted fixing your issue on my W2K8R2, but nothing seemed to work. I thought an install of MySQL would help, that it was a thing like a missing connector type from C++ to MySQL. But that wasn't it.

Some browsing learned me that using that module might actually be outdated, since MTA/LUA now just enabled dbConnect to be used on a MySQL database. If it's not a big deal, I'd just change to that "native" MTA feature instead of a module.

Make sure you have the MySQL library (libmysql.dll) in your MTA San Andreas 1.3/server -folder. You can find a copy in your deathmatch -folder. Just copy it and paste it in the server -folder. Perhaps this will help you.

I already did this. So I can't do anything on a 64-bit system. But there isn't an emulator that can start the server on 32-bit?

EDIT: Anyways I read that there's a 32-bit emulator included in Windows (SysWOW64), how to use it?

What do you mean by that? Most computers are 64-bit nowadays and I don't see why mabako didn't have that. On my computer the module runs perfectly fine.

It can be an issue with Windows 8/Windows Server 2012 in general. It's new and I am not sure if MTA has releasef full support to it yet.

I think it's an issue with the module rather than MTA. That runs fine. The module somehow just doesn't like Windows server... (It also doesn't function on Windows 2008 R2)

I highly doubt it's related to processor type. Try using the Windows Error Log to track the issue, that usually provides nice info on where it goes wrong.

My old Windows Server 2008 R2 ran three servers more stable than it does on this Windows 7.

Maybe you should put this to the Mantis Bug Tracker since there is no solution around (yet).

Right, I get it now. I am the only one who can see all those useful links, which are stickied or in the front page of something... oh well...

You can now report bugs or feature requests for official resources included with MTASA server packages.

To do so, choose the New issues project, then file a report under the Resources category. For reporting bugs in the new Map Editor, use its own category.

Make sure that you include the Resource name in the summary, so we can quickly see what the report is about.

I used VirtualBox and installed Windows 8 x86 (because I use it and the server works) but it says that module mta_mysql.dll not found.

EDIT: And when I open it on Linux (Ubuntu 12.10) it says "Client triggered serverside event [EVENT], but event is not added serverside"

I don't know if this has been said yet but, if it says "unable to load/find module sha", on my XP computer, you had to type loadmodule sha.dll, you know, with the ".dll" part. Just putting that out there. It worked for me.

just use new Database functions. mta_mysql.dll is for 32 bit only, and its really old, no need for it anymore.
